Welcome Message

The International Society for Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods (ISNFF) is pleased to welcome you to the 14th International Conference and Exhibition on Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods, scheduled for October 2-5th, 2022 at Crowne Plaza İstanbul-Asia Hotel & Convention Center in İstanbul, Turkey.


We have had a challenging couple of years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The ISNFF 2020 Conference and Exhibition which was postponed to 2021, was held October 17-20, 2021 in Nanjing, China in a hybrid form and attracted some 110 international participants, some 2,000 online, and 280-300 participants in person.


At ISNFF, there are annual awards for the Students’ Poster Presentation Competition at each conference. The award is designed to encourage and highlight the outstanding research carried out by students in different aspects of functional foods, nutraceuticals, and natural health products. This year, there are 20 awards to be presented for the first, second, and third places with a certificate and a cheque. This includes 3 min flash talks at the conference. In addition, the Society has established the Fereidoon Shahidi Fellowship Award for graduate students. More information on this award can be found on the ISNFF website (www.isnff.org). Furthermore, there are Industry/Institution Merit as well as Individual Merit Awards to recognize their respective contributions to research and development and/or service to ISNFF. The Fellow awards of ISNFF also recognize the continued contributions of scientists in the area of functional foods and nutraceuticals and to ISNFF over a minimum of ten years.


The exhibition at ISNFF complements its scientific meeting programs with products, services, and publications in the field of functional foods, nutraceuticals, and natural health products. Sponsorships are also available for supporting the conference or any of its specific programs/sessions.


The 2022 conference of the ISNFF is organized as an activity of the Horizon 2020 – PhenolAcTwin Project, coordinated by TÜBİTAK MAM. In addition, The Horizon Europe will be the subject of different conference activities to provide information and facilitate possible co-operations among scientists and industrialists. In addition, the Food Innovation Platform of Turkey (TÜGİP), established by TÜBİTAK MAM, will support SMEs’ participation at the conference.


The ISNFF 2022 Conference and Exhibition is planned to be in person. We look forward to seeing you in İstanbul and trust that we can once again meet our friends and have the opportunity to make new ones. In addition to the scientific sessions, technical tours and visits to historic sites are included and you will enjoy the hospitality planned during the Gala Dinner on the Bosporus.
